Veneto is one of the four big wine growing regions of Italy. With 80.000 hectare the wine growing area of Veneto is almost as big as Germany's. 20% of Veneto's wines have DOC status. Veneto is the origin both of traditional, expressive red grapes, like Amarone or Valpolicella, and of simple, delicious wines like Bardolino. Soave is the most famous grape among the white wines.
Many of you might also know the tangy Prosecco and theharmonical, pleasing wines of Colli Euganei. Besides, we have some wines from the areas Breganze, Colli Berici and Piave. They definitely contribute to Veneto's positive image.

Veneto ist eine der vier großen Weinbauregionen Italiens. Mit rund 80.000 Hektar ist die Rebfläche Venetiens fast so groß wie die Deutschlands. Etwa ein Fünftel der Weine haben DOC-Status. Sowohl rote Klassiker, wie der Amarone oder der Valpolicella, als auch einfache, oft köstliche Weine wie der Bardolino kommen von hier. Unter den Weißen ist wohl der Soave der berühmteste. Vielen sind auch der spritzige Prosecco und die gefälligen Weine der Colli Euganei wohl bekannt. In geringeren Mengen verfügbar sind einige Weine aus den Bereichen Breganze, Colli Berici und Piave. Sie tragen jedoch zum guten Image Venetiens bei.
