The fact that Ca' dei Frati has been always recognised as a white wine producer, has inspired us to produce a red wine. We looked for the best possible terroir for a red wine in the area, the perfect vineyards, microclimates, and the best possible vineyards sites to create this wine. Marzemino & Sangiovese are the main protagonists here, together with 10% of Cabernet. It has a rich, fruity nose, predominantly red fruit, herbs, spice and jam. Clean and savoury on the palate, it reflects the characteristics of the land in which it is produced. Great with red meat, game and hard cheeses, and meat based soups.
